Developed by prime lamb producers, AbbLamb is a new alternative to the saleyards that allows processors to buy thousands of lambs, online in minutes. All lambs are assessed and individually weighed by an accredited livestock agent, with listings curfewed and ready for delivery. Producers get to relish in the benefits of introducing competition of auction whilst agents can be a part of the direct supply chain. Auctions will be run in regions on the same day as major selling centres, allowing for easier coordination of trucking. With auctions set to run for mere minutes producers, agents and processors can bid, buy and get on with their day.
